At the end of your 30-day free trial, your subscription continues automatically and billing begins. If you decide not to continue, you can cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.
PerQ uses simple, usage-based pricing. You pay a fixed monthly base fee, plus £0.01 per unique active customer per month.
A customer is considered active if they scan their PerQ Wallet Pass at least once during the month.
If the same customer visits multiple times in a month, you are still only charged £0.01 for that customer for the entire month.
If a customer does not visit or scan at all during the month, you are not charged for them.
The £0.01 charge applies per unique active customer each month.
If a customer scans their PerQ Wallet Pass at least once during the month, they count as an active customer and incur a 1p charge.
If the same customer visits and scans multiple times in that month (for example, 5 visits), you are still only charged £0.01 for that customer for the entire month.
No. You are only charged for customers who actively use their loyalty pass. If a customer does not scan their PerQ Wallet Pass during the month, you are not charged for them.
PerQ Wallet Pass uses a single, simple pricing model, so there are no plans to upgrade or downgrade within PerQ itself. Your costs automatically scale based on how many customers actively use their loyalty pass.
If you outgrow PerQ Wallet Pass, you can upgrade to PerQ Enterprise — a fully branded loyalty app designed for multi-branch retailers or ambitious single-location businesses that want deeper customer engagement.
You can arrange a demo of PerQ Enterprise at https://retailgeek.co.uk/demo.html.
PerQ includes a 30-day free trial so you can fully test the system before any charges apply.
Once billing has started, subscription fees are not refundable. You can cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
Retail Geek Ltd is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not added to your subscription at this time.
If our VAT status changes in the future, we will notify you in advance and update billing accordingly.
Yes. You do not need to be VAT registered to use PerQ.
Logo and Branding
Yes. A logo is optional during signup.
You can complete your application without uploading a logo and add one later from the dashboard if you choose.
We accept PNG, JPG, and WEBP image files, with a maximum file size of 2MB.
You can reduce your logo file size using https://tinypng.com/.
If you need help with this, contact us and we can walk you through it. You can also upload your logo later.
You can convert your logo using https://www.freeconvert.com/.
We recommend converting to PNG for best quality. If you need help, contact us — or leave the logo blank and add it later.
If you have a website, social media page, or old printed materials, your logo can often be recovered from there.
If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll help you figure out the best option.
Stamps and Brand Colours
You can set between 1 and 20 stamps per reward.
We recommend 10 or fewer. Our research shows customers are more likely to return when the reward feels achievable.
Click the colour selector to open the colour picker. Use the slider to adjust the colour visually.
If you know your exact values, you can enter RGB numbers, HEX codes, or switch between RGB, HSL, and HEX formats directly.
You can use https://imagecolorpicker.com/ to pick colours from your website or an uploaded image.
Copy the HEX, RGB, or HSL values and paste them into the colour selector.
The primary colour is the main colour used on your loyalty pass, usually your brand’s dominant colour.
The background colour is the base colour of the wallet pass. This should contrast well with text and stamps for readability.
We would suggest a reward that is appropriate to what your customer spends. For example for coffee shops a typical reward would be for a free coffee. In a cafe, a typical reward would be for a free slice of cake. Whatever reward you choose, ensure that customers spend more money collecting stamps than you will on the reward.
PerQ Wallet Pass
A PerQ Wallet Pass is a digital loyalty card that lives in a customer’s Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Instead of carrying a paper card or downloading an app, customers add your loyalty card to their phone and collect stamps or rewards when you scan it in-store.
Paper loyalty cards can be lost, forgotten, or damaged, and they require manual stamping and tracking.
A PerQ Wallet Pass lives in the customer’s phone, updates automatically when scanned, and cannot be lost or forgotten. There is no manual tracking and no need to reissue cards.
How Customers Get the Wallet Pass
After you sign up to PerQ, a unique QR code is generated for your business.
Customers scan this QR code using their phone camera. They are then shown an option to Add to Apple Wallet or the Google Wallet equivalent.
Once added, the wallet pass lives on their phone and is ready to be scanned in-store.
You can download your QR code at any time from the PerQ Dashboard.
Sign in to the dashboard at https://retailgeek.co.uk/PerQ/PerQDashboard/ , go to the Settings page, and scroll to the Your QR Code section. From there, click the Download button.
Download and save the QR code to your computer or device.
Most retailers print it and display it somewhere prominent in-store, such as near the till or counter, so customers can easily scan it.
You can also share the QR code on social media so customers can add the wallet pass at their convenience.
A printed Point of Sale pack will be available in the future.
Not at the moment.
We plan to offer a printed Point of Sale pack in the future, and retailers will be notified when this becomes available.
No. PerQ does not require any specialist hardware.
The system is designed to work with smartphones and tablets that staff already have, using the PerQ Scanner App.
No. PerQ does not currently integrate directly with EPOS systems.
Loyalty scanning is handled separately through the PerQ Scanner App.
We are actively working towards EPOS integrations in the future.
No. Customers do not need to download an app.
They simply add your loyalty card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet using your QR code.
Any modern iPhone that supports Apple Wallet and any modern Android phone that supports Google Wallet.
If their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet transfers to the new phone (for example via a phone-to-phone transfer or account restore), their PerQ pass will usually move across and their progress will remain.
If they add the pass again using your in-store QR code, it creates a new pass and they may need to start again.
Yes. If a customer adds your PerQ pass more than once (for example by scanning your QR code again), it will create a new pass each time.
In normal use, customers only need one pass in their Wallet.
Customers can view their PerQ Wallet Pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet without an internet connection.
However, the scanner app requires an internet connection to add stamps or update rewards. This ensures scans are secure, accurate, and synced instantly across devices.
PerQ uses the official Apple Wallet and Google Wallet APIs. This means normal Wallet updates do not break existing passes.
If Apple or Google make changes that require updates, these are handled on the PerQ backend. Retailers do not need to reinstall anything or update customer passes manually.
Retailer Dashboard
The dashboard gives you a clear overview of how your loyalty program is performing and lets you manage your account.
On the main dashboard you can see key metrics including total customers, total stamps collected, rewards claimed, and new customers in the last 7 days.
You can also view your full customer list (including stamps and rewards), export customer data to CSV, download your QR code, update your business details, change branding colours (which automatically update customer wallet passes), and manage your billing and usage.
Yes, but not directly from the dashboard at the moment.
If you want to change your reward name or the number of stamps required, just contact support and we’ll update it for you.
Any changes are then applied to your customers’ wallet passes automatically.
Not directly from the dashboard at the moment.
If a customer’s stamps need correcting (for example, a scanning mistake), you can contact support and we’ll adjust it for you.
Any corrections are then reflected automatically on the customer’s wallet pass.
Yes. The PerQ dashboard is fully responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
The dashboard is for managing your loyalty program — viewing customers, checking performance, updating settings, downloading QR codes, and managing billing.
Customer scans cannot be done from the dashboard. Scanning loyalty passes is handled exclusively through the PerQ Scanner App, which is designed for fast in-store use.
If you’re not sure which email address is linked to your PerQ account, you’ll need to contact support so we can help verify your business and restore access.
You can contact us using the form on our website or by emailing support@retailgeek.co.uk.
Contact page: https://retailgeek.co.uk/contact.html
You don’t need to contact support.
On the PerQ Dashboard login page, enter the email address linked to your account, click “Forgot Password?”, and follow the instructions in the password reset email.
You can access the login page here: https://retailgeek.co.uk/PerQ/PerQDashboard/
Yes. You can export your customer list as a CSV file from the Customers page.
Click the “Export CSV” button in the top-right corner of the Customers page. The file can be opened in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Yes. Multiple staff can be logged into the dashboard at the same time using the same login details, on different devices or browsers.
There are no individual staff accounts at the moment, so anyone with the login will have the same level of access.
Scanner App
The PerQ Scanner App is a separate app used by staff to scan customers’ wallet passes in-store.
When a customer presents their Apple or Google Wallet pass, staff scan the QR code using the scanner app. This automatically adds stamps or processes rewards — no manual input required.
The scanner app can be used on multiple phones at the same time and does not require individual staff accounts.
Rewards are earned automatically when a customer collects the required number of stamps.
Staff scan the customer’s wallet pass using the PerQ Scanner App. Once the reward threshold is reached, the reward becomes available in the customer’s wallet pass and can be redeemed in-store.
When a reward is redeemed, staff confirm it in the scanner app and the customer’s stamps are reset according to your loyalty rules.
Yes. The scanner app is required to scan customers’ wallet passes and add stamps or rewards.
The PerQ Dashboard is used for managing your loyalty program — such as viewing customers, exporting data, updating settings, and managing billing — but it cannot be used to scan customer passes.
Scanning is handled separately to keep queues fast and ensure secure, reliable stamping at the till.
After you sign up to PerQ, a welcome email is sent to the email address you used during signup.
This email contains direct links to download the PerQ Scanner App from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
If you can’t find the welcome email or no longer have access to it, contact support and we’ll help you.
You can email us at support@retailgeek.co.uk or use the contact form here: https://retailgeek.co.uk/contact.html
The PerQ Scanner App runs on most modern devices with a camera, including iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and Android tablets.
It can be installed on staff phones or on shared shop devices such as tablets at the till. No specialist hardware is required.
No. Staff do not need individual logins to use the PerQ Scanner App.
You can sign in once on a device and allow multiple staff members to use it during the day, including shared devices at the till.
Yes. Multiple staff can scan customers at the same time using the PerQ Scanner App on different phones or devices.
There are no limits on the number of devices, and scanning works in parallel during busy periods.
Marketing and Data Use
No. Marketing emails are optional.
We send a weekly newsletter with retail tips and occasional offers or rewards we think may be useful to your business.
You can unsubscribe using the link in any email, or by changing your preferences in the dashboard.
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Is This Right for Me?
Yes. PerQ was designed specifically with independent and small retailers in mind.
Small shops don’t need complex systems, staff training programmes, or customer data management to run an effective loyalty scheme. PerQ gives you a simple, professional loyalty system that works straight away without adding friction at the till.
There’s no contract, a low monthly cost, and no requirement to collect customer personal data. You can run the same type of loyalty experience used by larger brands, without the cost, complexity, or technical overhead.
If you have a single location, limited staff, and want something that just works day-to-day, PerQ is built for exactly that.
No. PerQ is designed to be faster than paper loyalty cards, not slower.
Scanning a wallet pass takes about the same time as scanning a barcode, and can be done in seconds while the payment is being processed. There’s no writing, stamping, signing, or checking cards.
During busy periods, multiple staff can scan customers at the same time using different devices, so there’s no bottleneck at the till.
In practice, most retailers find PerQ reduces friction at checkout rather than adding to it.
Setup takes about 60 seconds.
You sign up, enter your business details, choose your reward and stamp target, and your QR code is generated immediately. Customers can start joining straight away.
If you don’t have everything ready (such as a logo or brand colours), you can complete setup and add or update these later from the dashboard.
