About Retail Geek

Built by a shop owner who's been there

My Story

Hi, I'm David, founder of Retail Geek Ltd.

I've spent years working inside some of the UK's biggest retailers — B&Q, Next, ASDA, Sainsbury's, Co-op, and Wickes. I've seen first-hand exactly how the big chains use customer data and loyalty schemes to keep people coming back week after week.

Then in 2009 I opened my own independent milkshake and smoothie shop — Shakes 2GO. Suddenly I was on the other side of the fence. I wanted the same loyalty tools the big chains used. I got quoted over £10,000. For a small independent shop, that was simply impossible.

That experience stuck with me. The big chains had every advantage — and independents like me were left to manage with stamp cards and hope. There had to be a better way.

Our Mission

The big chains have spent millions building customer loyalty programmes that keep people coming back. Independent retailers deserve the same — without the million pound budget. Retail Geek exists to level that playing field.

I've Been Where You Are

I know what it's like to watch customers walk out the door and have no way to reach them again. I know the frustration of spending money on Facebook ads to reach people who've already bought from you — because you don't own your own customer data.

I built Retail Geek because independent retailers work too hard to be losing customers to the big chains. You deserve the same tools. Now you've got them.
