Scanner App Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Retail Geek Scanner App (“the App”), provided by Retail Geek Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).

The App is designed for retailer staff to scan customer loyalty cards and record loyalty activity. By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

2. Authorised Use

• The App is intended for use by authorised retailer staff only
• You must not allow unauthorised individuals to access the App
• You are responsible for all activity carried out using your account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Manipulate or falsify loyalty data
• Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the App
• Use the App outside the scope of your retail business

4. Customer Data

Retail Geek acts as a technology provider. Retailers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to process customer data collected through the App.

Retail Geek is not responsible for how retailers obtain customer consent or manage customer relationships.

5. Availability

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Retail Geek Ltd shall not be liable for:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business
• Incorrect loyalty data caused by misuse
• Device issues, network failures, or third-party service outages

7. Suspension or Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if:

• These Terms are breached
• The App is misused
• There is a security or legal risk

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including branding and software, remain the property of Retail Geek Ltd.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
